Understand Your Statutory Rights. Act with Confidence

SaarthiRights exists to make rights understandable, accessible, and actionable.

Our story

SaarthiRights did not begin as a startup idea or a technology initiative.

It began with one retiree helping another.

Our inspiration comes from someone in our family—an ex-banker, a retiree himself, now approaching 80 years of age—who quietly began assisting fellow retirees and friends struggling to understand and assert their rights. Over time, this extended to widows of retired employees, many of whom were part of group insurance and retirement benefit schemes but found themselves confused, unheard, or unable to navigate complex processes.

These were individuals who had worked their entire lives with the belief that their post-retirement protections would be straightforward. Instead, they encountered opaque policy clauses, delayed responses, repeated follow-ups, and unclear grievance mechanisms—often at a stage of life when energy, health, and confidence are limited.

What stood out was not the absence of rights, but the lack of clarity.

Helping Without Authority—Only Understanding

Drawing from decades of professional experience in banking and from being a retiree navigating the same systems himself, he began helping others understand:

  • what their policies and benefits actually entitled them to

  • how group insurance and retirement schemes were structured

  • how to prepare representations and follow escalation processes correctly

  • how to communicate with institutions in a clear, structured manner

Many of the people he helped were in their late seventies, eighties, and even nineties. Some were widows handling matters for the first time after the loss of a spouse. In several cases, progress came not through confrontation, but through proper documentation, persistence, and informed follow-up.

This work was voluntary. It was personal. And it was deeply human.

From Individual Help to a Shared Purpose

As these experiences accumulated, a larger question emerged:

Why should access to statutory rights depend on whether someone has the time, strength, or literacy to navigate complex systems—especially after retirement?

SaarthiRights was born from that question.

The platform is inspired by real situations faced by ordinary people—retirees, families, and individuals—who were entitled to protection but lacked the tools to understand and act with confidence.

What SaarthiRights Exists to Do

SaarthiRights aims to help individuals:

  • understand their statutory and regulatory position

  • bring structure and clarity to their concerns

  • approach grievance redressal processes with confidence

  • make informed decisions before escalating disputes

We do not replace lawyers, institutions, or regulators.

We help people engage with them more effectively.

A Name With Meaning

The name Saarthi—a guide—was chosen deliberately.

  • Not to speak on behalf of individuals, but to walk alongside them.

  • Not to promise outcomes, but to support understanding.

  • Not to rush judgment, but to enable informed action.

SaarthiRights exists to ensure that understanding your rights never feels overwhelming—at any stage of life.
